Multiple New England rescue organizations, like Our Companions, were contacted about finding rescue placement for 400 mice from an animal hoarding case… many of which were pregnant! Organizations across states rallied to come together for the sheer size of space needed for 400 mice.
Our Companions rescued 6 pregnant mice in November 2024 which resulted in over 20 happy and healthy little mice friends! The mice are now technically grown up and are ready for adoption already! We have 6 total habitats and 22 mice, separated by temperament, bonding, and sex. They are so cute and fun to watch; there’s always someone on the exercise wheel and a couple at the food dish, a few snuggled in bedding, and another chewing a toy…. 24/7 fun! They have a variety of muted and neutral colors, love to explore their habitat, and we are working to help them feel as comfortable and confident as we can with being held by people. He might be small, but he has a big personality! Meet the one and only, fantastic Freddie! This 8.5 year old Pomeranian will become your instant best friend. He loves affection, cuddles, and having a blast with toys! Along with his funky fur, Freddie is spunky, sweet, and even a little sassy- what’s not to love?! Freddie would appreciate a patient, experienced adult home that can take the time to learn his personality, his likes/dislikes, and continue his training to be a happy, thriving boy! Freddie does have a heart murmur that just requires breaks throughout his walks, but it certainly doesn’t slow down this fun-loving guy!
