Celebrate spring, German style! The Hartford Saengerbund presents a festive Maifest celebration from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 16. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children. The club is located at 719 North Mountain Road in Newington. The menu features pork schnitzel, bratwurst, spaetzle (German noodles), sauerkraut and potato salad. Homemade cakes and other treats will be available for dessert. Imported German beer and other beverages will be available at the bar. One-man band John Banker will provide live music.
