This past Sunday marked the beginning of SalesTax-Free Week in Connecticut, a one-week sales tax holiday where retail purchases of most clothing and footwear items priced under $100, are exempt from the state’s sales and use tax. Sales Tax-Free Week runs through this Saturday. This special tax holiday not only helps residents and families save during the busy back-to-school season, but also gives Connecticut businesses an extra boost to their bottom line.
