Business Story:
If knowledge is power, then Connecticut is flexing. A new WalletHub study just confirmed what we already knew—Connecticut is one of the most educated states in the nation, landing in the top five. Our public schools? Top two in the nation. Our students? Future CEOs, scientists, and innovators.
Our workforce? Sharpened to a fine point. Higher education doesn’t just mean degrees on the wall—it means bigger paychecks and lower unemployment, which Connecticut is experiencing a 23- year low hovering at 3%. High rankings like this matter because potential businesses, investors, and families notice. A highly educated workforce isn’t just good for bragging rights—it’s a magnet for growth, innovation, and opportunity.
So, if you’re looking for a smart move? You’re already in the right place.
Connecticut: Where brains and opportunity go hand in hand.

TOURISM STORY:
And in some more sweet news—it’s officially maple sugar season in Connecticut! That’s right, the sunny days and cool nights make this part of year the perfect time to produce everyone’s favorite liquid gold.
There are over 30 sugarhouses in Connecticut. And to celebrate the season, many attractions and maple sugar producers around the state are hosting special programs and events over the next few weeks. Here are just a few to consider visiting.

For starters, Ambler Farm in Wilton is hosting a Maple Sugaring open house this Saturday. Here families can take part in the tree tapping process and learn about Native American, colonial, and modern methods of making syrup. Visitors will even get to taste Ambler Farm’s very own maple syrup over vanilla ice cream.

Or visit Indian Rock Nature Preserve in Bristol, which is hosting a pancake
breakfast with maple sugaring demonstrations on Saturday. Choose from
delicious stacks of either plain, apple, or chocolate chip pancakes with
homemade syrup. After, families can head outside for maple sugaring
demonstrations where they’ll learn how to identify a Sugar Maple and try their
hand at tapping a tree.

And the Stanley-Whitman House in Farmington is hosting a special Maple Day
this Saturday. It’s a fun-filled, free educational event where families can learn
about the art of maple sugaring and see how the process was done during
colonial times. This event is all outdoors so be sure to dress appropriately.
And save the date for Maple Weekend in Connecticut, taking place the weekend of March 15. During the two-day event, sugarhouses across the state will be open for tours, demonstrations, samples, and product sales. Look online to find out which sugarhouses are participating in your area.
And stay tuned for more updates next week.
