Saturday from 10am to 2pm, it’s a Autumn Festival at H.O.R.S.E. of Connecticut, 43 Wilbur Road in Washington.  Baked goods and craft sales will all benefit a 24 year old Arabian Saddlebred Gelding named BUZZ.  This former National Show Horse was surrendered to HOC when his owner could no longer care from him.  He is currently receiving medical treatment.  Your donations will help get BUZZ back on his feet.  www.horseofct.org

Fair Weather Growers, 10 Countyline Drive on the Rocky Hill/Cromwell Town Line has opened Fall Fest for the season! Giant corn pit, corn maze, jump pillow, animals, pumpkins, tractor rides and just a ton of fun on the farm! Weekends through October 31st!

The Trail of Terror in Wallingford is now in its 31st year and is open every weekend through Halloween.  It’s a seasonal, outdoor haunted trail experience that takes visitors through a series of elaborate sets, dark woods, and scare zones filled with actors, props, and special effects. The staff is made up entirely of volunteers, and the Trail regularly donates proceeds from ticket sales to various charities. This is a particularly scary Halloween attraction, so it’s not recommended for kids under 10!  www.trailofterror.com

The Witch's Dungeon is open all year round, but we are open now every Friday 6pm to 9pm Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 9pm.  Life-like recreations of movie monsters including Frankenstein, Dracula and more!  Movie props and a newly created scene from E.T. with Elliott and E.T. on their bike! The Bushnell Park Carousel is waiting to greet your family!  Bring your kids, or don't. You definitely don't need an excuse to ride the historic 1914 Stein & Goldstein Carousel because it is beautiful! The best seat in the house is on a horse named Freedom.  Open weather permitting noon to 5pm.

Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Parlor on Route 4 in Farmington are Open for the season (weather permitting.) Golf open Sunday through Thursday 10am to 8:30pm. “Eight Days a Week: An Illustrated Record of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” an exhibition of rock music memorabilia, is now on display in Jorgensen Gallery at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on the UConn Storrs campus throughout Jorgensen’s fall season of events.  This unique exhibition of rock music memorabilia with more than 100 items, including more than 40 photos of members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that were taken by Connecticut photographer Joseph Sia, including his famous image of Jimi Hendrix at Woolsey Hall in New Haven, known as “The Shadow.”  www.jorgensen.uconn.edu
