Kristen Stewart is opening up about her transformation into the late Princess Diana for her film “Spencer.”

More specifically, she divulged what it felt like to put on a nearly identical replica of Diana’s iconic wedding dress.

“Putting that on was a spooky day,” the 31-year-old actress told Entertainment Tonight at the film’s premiere.

Stewart noted that the footage of her in the wedding dress was part of a “montage” that flashes before the character’s eyes.

“Even though I play her as a speculatively 29, 30-year-old person, we still wanted to give a taste of the scope of her life,” the actress noted, adding that the film wanted to “kind of touch on every part.”

The film spans a three-day weekend and reimagines how Diana spent Christmas in 1991 at Queen Elizabeth’s country estate, during the time she allegedly decided to end her marriage to Prince Charles, who is played by Jack Farthing.

While there isn’t much the “Twilight” actress can relate to when it comes to the royal, she does understand the public scrutiny.

In a specific scene from the film, Diana walks into a diner to ask for directions and is instantly recognized by the patrons, which Stewart knows all too well.

“It’s a little bit silly. There is an absurdist kind of nature to that scene because you’re like, ‘Dude, you are Princess Diana. You just walked into a fish and chips shop’,” she explained, adding, “Clearly you know people are going to have this reaction.”

During the Venice premiere, Stewart shared her opinion on Diana’s impact and her distinctive character.

“There are some people that are endowed with an undeniable penetrating energy,” the actress explained. “I think the really sad thing about her is that she -- as normal and sort of casual and disarming her air is immediately -- she also felt so isolated and so lonely. She made everyone else feel accompanied and bolstered by this beautiful sort of light and all she wanted was to just have it back.”

The official synopsis for the film reads: "December, 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different."

"Spencer" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 5.
