BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a Connecticut hotel last year. The Connecticut Post reports that 28-year-old Donnell Williams turned himself in Wednesday after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest in connection with the shooting in February 2018 at the Sunny Side Inn in Bridgeport. He was held on $1 million bond on charges including murder and first-degree robbery.
No defense attorney was listed in court records. Authorities say Williams and another suspect went to the inn to kill a man named Leo who had cheated a prostitute and her pimp out of money, but got the wrong room and killed 48-year-old Alfanso Anderson instead. Williams has served prison time on drug and animal cruelty charges.
