MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC) – After a lengthy investigation by members of Connecticut State Police and Central District Major Crime Squad (Troop F) – Westbrook, an arrest has been made involving an assisted suicide.
Kevin Connors, a Westbrook resident, turned himself in after police issued a warrant for his arrest for assisting a terminally ill family member with committing suicide.
The warrant charges the 65-year old with Manslaughter in the Second Degree (aiding another person to commit suicide), which is in violation of a Connecticut General Statute.
Connors surrendered himself Thursday morning and was released on a $50,000 bond.
His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, June 21st at the Middletown Superior Court.
