NEW MILFORD, Conn. (WTIC) – New Milford Mayor, Pete Bass, issued a Facebook message Monday afternoon stating emergency crews are responding to reports of a possible missing swimmer in the Dykes Point area.
At this time, crews have called off their search and will resume again in the morning.
DEEP officials and Newtown police are assisting crews working to locate the missing person – who is a 17-year old.
A dive team has been searching the area where the water temperature is reportedly around 60 degrees.
No additional information has been released at this time.
