(Milford, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Milford are charging a man after they say he led them on a pursuit Monday that ended with the suspect crashing his vehicle along an Interstate 95 off-ramp.
Investigators say it began with a call to Town Fair Tire on the Boston Post Road.
Forty-six-year-old Phillion Harvey attempted to use gift cards which police say were previously purchased using fradulent credit card accounts.
When officers arrived on scene, they say Harvey attempted to flee, striking a police cruiser in the process.
Harvey entered I-95 south with police in pursuit.
Officers say they observed Harvey driving erratically, after which he crashed into a guard rail on the exit 38 off ramp, later attempting to flee on foot.
He was captured a short time later. No injuries were reported.
Harvey faces numerous charges, including engaging police in pursuit, evading responsibility, interfering with police and reckless endangerment, among others.
Bond was set at $15,000 and Harvey is due in court next month.
