NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Smith Elementary School in New Britain temporarily moves to online learning amid a positive COVID-19 case.
In a letter to the community, the district said a member of the Smith Elementary School community tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing suggests there multiple contacts were made. As such, the entire school is moving to remote learning on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 6-7, 2020.
The school is expected to resume in-person learning on Thursday, October 8.
Contact tracing and deep cleaning continues.
