FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State police have arrested an Ansonia man on charges of evading the scene of a tractor trailer rollover in Farmington Monday night, that he allegedly caused.
Darnell Porter, 33, was driving a car on Interstate 84 eastbound that veered from the left lane into the middle lane and struck a tractor trailer truck, causing the truck to lose control and roll over near Exit 37 around 10 p.m., according to police.
Police say Porter fled the scene of the crash and was stopped later near Exit 41 in West Hartford. He's charged with evading responsibility, misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and other offenses.
The driver of the UPS Ground truck was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford.
