Car Hits Three Pedestrians in Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Stamford Police are investigating a single vehicle accident that injured three pedestrians.

Officers went to 624 Hope Street where they say Sarmad Hussain, 22, of Stamford, drove his Toyota Avalon into three people standing in the front yard around 12:51 a.m. Saturday.

Two of the three pedestrians were taken to Stamford Hospital with critical injuries. The condition of the third pedestrian is unknown. Sarmad suffered a minor arm injury.

The initial on-scene investigation found speed may have been a factor in the crash.
