(NEW HAVEN,Conn./WTIC Radio) - New Haven Police are investigating a shooting which left a 9 year old boy with non-life threatening injuries. The child was a passenger in a vehicle struck by gunfire at Foote and Ashmun Streets shortly before 7 pm Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Yale New Haven Hopsital in a private vehicle and later transferred to Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. He was reported in stable condition Wednesday morning, said police.
Any witnesses to the shooting are asked to call the New Haven Police Department Detective Bureau at 203-946-6304.
