(WTIC Radio) - Around 100 people rallied on the steps of the State Capitol Tuesday, calling for labor standards for ride-hailing companies, such as Uber and Lyft.Drivers say they are struggling to make ends meet, with shifting fare policies by the app-based services.They support a bill before the Legislature's Labor Committee that would require at least 75 percent of fares go to drivers and allow them to bargain collectively.The industry is opposed to the measure, insisting that it would upend incentive and dynamic pricing, which helps to ensure rides are available when and where they're needed.
