Drought conditions persist in CT

(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Many parts of Connecticut remain bone dry, according to the report released today the the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Northern Hartford and Tolland Counties are experiencing extreme drought conditions, as is most of Windham County.

The rest of Hartford County is in a severe drought, as are central Tolland, southwest Windham, eastern New London and northeast New Haven Counties.

Fairfield County is experiencing abnormally dry conditions, as is western Litchfield County.

Nearly 15-percent of the state is experiencing extreme drought.
