
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - East Hartford police have released the identity of the suspect that sent authorities on a police chase which began in East Hartford and stretched across Interstate 84 to Waterbury on Friday.
Authorities say Catherine Davila, 33, of East Hartford sent police on the car chase after hitting a police officer's vehicle in town.
Officials say police chased Davila after she fled onto I-84 through Hartford westbound to Waterbury. Davila was boxed in around Exit 25-A, police say.
The officer was investigating a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on St. Regis Street when the incident happened, according to police.
Davila is charged with four counts of assault on a police officer, interfering with an officer, engaging an officer in pursuit, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police say Davila remains held on $200,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Tuesday morning.
The struck officer sustained minor injuries, according to police.
