MILFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Three nearly completed buildings at Silver Sands State Park that were due to open for Memorial Day weekend were destroyed by fire Tuesday night.
The buildings, housing a dining area, restrooms and office, were part of a $9 million improvement project at the oceanside park in Milford that many local officials had opposed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries.
