HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford Police have been responding to hundreds of firewrok complaint calls in the past week.
Officials report receiving upwards 200 calls per day regarding fireworks in the city. Thosse with PTSD, babies, children, elderly, and pets are particuarily troubled by the noise.
Earlier in the week, the city launched a special hotline for firework complaints. A team of overnight officers have been specifically assigned to respond to those calls.
