Five Arrests Made, Eleven Stolen Cars Recovered in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Five people were arrested and eleven stolen motor vehicles were recovered Thursday during an operation with members of the Hartford Police Auto Theft Unit and Violent Crimes Unit.

According to Hartford police, an investigation into four of the arrested people led to them being charged with four additional stolen motor vehicles, for a total of 18 stolen vehicle arrests.

The arrested include Luis Sanchez, 25, Luis Ramos, 20, Franky Roman, 20, Nelson Colon-Davilla, 19, and a 16-year-old juvenile. All of them have been arrested with at least one charge of first degree larceny.

The recovered vehicles were stolen from Hartford, Trumbull, Avon, Glastonbury, New Canaan, Stratford, and Rhode Island, police said.

Hartford police said all the vehicles were taken with key fobs left inside.
