Gov. Ned Lamont Celebrates Labor Day in Newtown's Parade

NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Governor Ned Lamont is participating in Newtown's 58th annual Labor Day Parade Monday morning.

Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz is also participating in the town's event, along with other state officials.


The 2019 Grand Marshal and Chief of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Bill Halstead, is also walking in the parade, according to WTNH.

The parade began at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Currituck Road in Newtown.
