
On December 27th, Hamden police responded to a shooting at the Express Fuel on Dixwell Ave. Upon arrival, police found Corey Gomes, 35, of Hamden suffering from a gun shot wound. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After an investigation police arrested Pharoh Jackson, 20, of New Haven. His charges include murder, and 1st degree robbery.
Investigators reveal Jackson attempted to rob Gomes, a physical altercation ensued, which resulted in Jackson firing several rounds. Jackson fled the scene in a vehicle "with atleast one other occupant."
Jackson is being detained on $2,000,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 6th.
