Hartford Police ID Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford police have identified the motorcyclist killed Tuesday night in a crash at Goodwin Park.

Shortly before 8 p.m., police say 53-year-old Robert Wayne Thomas of Newington crashed his Harley into the gate of the park, at the Hubbard Road entrance.

No other vehicles were involved.

Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was closed to traffic for around five hours as accident reconstruction experts went to work. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Hartford Police Detective Eric Lemke at 860-757-4005 ex 4314.
