LONGS, S.C. (WTIC and AP) - After 29 years on the lam, a fugitive from Connecticut is back in custody in South Carolina.
WPDE-TV reports the U.S. Marshal's Office captured Ted Lee Livingston on Wednesday in Longs. Livingston was wanted in Connecticut on an escape charge form 1990.
Horry County Police say Livingston changed his birthday and other identifying information on his South Carolina driver's license to evade capture.
Livingston is being held in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center while he awaits extradition back to Connecticut. It was unknown if he's represented by an attorney.
