(NEW HAVEN,Conn./WTIC Radio) - New Haven Police continue to investigate a Tuesday afternoon shooting on Huntington Street, between Newhall and Shepard Streets in the city's Newhallville neighborhood.A 20 year old New Haven man was shot in the torso around 1:15 and was taken by ambulance to a hospital with life threatening injuries.
A short time later, police stopped a vehicle at Ogden and Prospect Streets and detained the 22 year old man who was driving.
No charges have been filed.
