Coventry, Conn./WTIC Radio - Coventry police are charging a man with pointing a gun at a nine-year-old child over the weekend.
Officers were called to an Armstrong Road home on Saturday on a report that John Barile, Jr., 44, was handling and pointing the firearm at the child.
Police say when they arrived, Barile was uncooperative and argumentative but was ultimately taken into custody.
He faces charges of disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, risk of injury and interfering with police.
Bond was set at $25,000.
