EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ East Haven Police say a man admits to stabbing his wife.
The victim's sister called to report the stabbing on Hilton Avenue Road on Sunday. When police arrived, 52-year-old Robert Cassidy put his hands behind his back and told officers "I stabbed my wife (3) times."
The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. She was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Cassidy has been charged with first degree assault. Bond is set at $150,000.00.
Police are investigating.
