
MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) -- Police arrested five juveniles after a disturbance at the Buckland Hills Mall Saturday night.
Officials say the incident started around 6 p.m. as several altercations and fights occured both in and outside the mall.
Police say one officer was assaulted in the melee. Pepper spray was also used to break up a fight.
The arrests included two 17-year-old males from Hartford, a 16-year-old male, also from Hartford, a 16-year-old West Hartford man and a 13-year-old female from Hartford.
Police say they all face numerous charges, including Breach of Peace in the Second Degree and Interfering with Police.
All of the juveniles were later released to a parent or guardian, according to officials.
An investigation into the cause of the disturbance is on-going. No serious injuries were reported.
