NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Naugatuck Police Department is investigating an incident caught on video and shared on social media.
Investigators say Officer Ian Kosky, a 14-year department veteran, was engaged in a traffic stop Monday morning near a contruction zone on Rubber Avenue. Video on social media suggests the officer and the subject of the stop got into a verbal and physical altercation.
The nature of a formal complaint filed with the department is unknown. Police did not say whether Officer Kosky was wearing a body cam.
The investigation is in its early stages.
