(WTIC-AM) -- A New Britain man faces criminal charges, after allegedly leaving fake explosives on Willow Street and Putnam Street in the city.
Police say the devices were made to resemble explosives, and writing on them said they were explosives.
51-year-old Alberto Duarte faces charges including falsely reporting an incident and misuse of the 911 system.
The devices were found about 8 o'clock this morning.
The roads were closed for about 2-hours.
