NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Rado) - An investigation is underway of a shooting involving a 21-year-old New Haven man Tuesday afternoon.
City Police Captain Anthony Duff says police responded to a report of a gunshot victim just after 2 p.m. at a residence on Bouchet Lane near Eastern Street.
Police say the victim had a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was transported to the hospital for treatment by ambulance.
According to police, it's believed the victim went to Bouchet Lane looking for help after being shot on Hemingway Street.
Investigators are canvassing Bouchet Lane, Hemingway Street and Eastern Street, Duff says.
