(WTIC-AM) -- There was an officer-involved shooting this morning near the intersection of Old Ridgebury Road and Reserve Road in Danbury, off Exit 2 from I-84.
Mayor Mark Boughton says the officer is ok.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the person who the officer shot, but he was taken to the hospital.
Old Ridgebury Road is closed now. Police ask drivers to avoid the area for now.
Danbury Police are investigating, along with the Connecticut State Police.
