WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) — Police have released surveillance images of a woman they say may be involved in the theft of an antique violin.

The violin that dates to the late 1800s, as well as credit cards and other items were stolen from the Windsor home on July 29.

Windsor police on Tuesday released several surveillance images of a white woman with a distinct sun tattoo on the back of her neck they think was involved in the theft. The stolen credit cards were used at several businesses.

Tim Lawrence owns the violin. He told WVIT-TV it originally belonged to his great-grandfather and had been passed down through the generations. He says losing it is like losing a limb.

He says he owns several musical instruments but only the violin was stolen.
