Suffield, Conn. (WTIC) - A 27-year old man of Springfield, Massachusetts has been issued multiple arrest warrants in four different jurisdictions after police from Windsor Locks, Avon, Newington and Suffield worked in partnership to locate a suspect responsible for a spree of home burglaries.

Jarne Jones has been apprehended by law enforcement and was responsible for at least four home burglaries in four Hartford area communities.  He was initially arrested by Avon Police earlier this year on January 25th after being caught in the act of breaking into a home.

Police responded after the homeowner remotely viewed a male burglarizing his home via a home security video surveillance system.  After posting a $100,000 bond, Jones was released with a court date in Hartford Superior Court for Wednesday, February 6th.

While appearing for that court date, members of the Windsor Locks Police Department arrested Jones on an active warrant for Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Larceny for similar crimes related to breaking into a residence in Windsor Locks in April of 2018.  The Windsor Locks Police Department was able to obtain this information as a result of shared information from the Avon Police Department.

After posting a $50,000 bond at the Windsor Locks Police Headquarters, Jones was then turned over to the custody of the Suffield Police Department, which also held an active warrant for Burglary and Criminal Mischief.  Much like the previous burglaries, the Suffield incident at a home on Rosewood Drive was captured on a home video security surveillance system.

Police say the images from the home security surveillance system were instrumental in positively identifying Jones as the perpetrator.

Jones posted a $100,000 bond at the Suffield Police Department and was then turned over to the custody of the Newington Police Department Wednesday night at 11:30.  Newington Police also held a warrant for Jones' arrest for Burglary and Criminal Mischief.  The court set bond for the arrest warrant is $50,000.

Officials credit the diligence of police personnel from Windsor Locks, Avon, Newington and Suffield to work in partnership with "good old fashioned police work" along with the assistance of video surveillance security systems technology to successful identify Jones in the burglaries.
