COLCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Colchester's first selectman has shut down a popular roadside burger stand because she says employees and patrons were violating social-distancing rules.
Mary Bylone says she temporarily closed Harry's Place Tuesday night, after observing employees not wearing masks and being too close together. Bylone adds, there were more than 50 cars and motorcycles at the restaurant, and a group of patrons had set up a picnic area in the back up of a pickup truck.
Bylone says Harry's owner has been cooperative and will work with health officials to come up with a plan to reopen, while observing social-distancing rules.
Harry's began providing car service only on April 6, according to its Facebook page.
