
SHELTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ An overnight fire in Shelton sends three police officers to an area hospital.
Emergency crews responded to a house fire that broke out at 74 High Street in Shelton around 2:19 a.m. Wednesday. Three Shelton Police officers were able to assist an occupant in the front hallway of the home while firefighters rescued an unresponsive occupant inside a bedroom. The fire was contained to the room where it began.
Three Shelton Police officers were transported to Griffin Hospital for minor smoke inhalation injuries. The two occupants were taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
