Fairfield, Ct - WTIC 1080 News - While conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 95 northbound in Fairfield just after 2:30 this morning, a state police cruiser was struck by a 2010 Chevy Tahoe when it veered off the roadway and into the median.
The cruiser was pushed into the vehicle parked in front of it. The trooper and operator in the Tahoo were both extricated. The operators of all three vehicles were transported to hospital. The trooper sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. The two other vehicle operators were treated for minor injuries.
Police are investigating and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Troop G at 203-696-2500.
