(MIDDLETOWN,Conn./WTIC) - A Connecticut State Trooper working as a School Resource Officer at Vinal Technical High School in Middletown Tuesday was alerted to a teacher who was injured in a carpentry shop.The victim got his hand stuck in a wood planer and suffered a severe injury with arterial bleeding and partial amputation. Trooper Alejandro Bugatti immediately applied a tourniquet to the teacher's arm to stop the rapid loss of blood.
The teacher was taken to a hospital for treatment.There has been no word on their condition or identity.
