NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) -- Emergency and fire crews say a structure fire has left two people dead.
Officials responded to the blaze at 73 Elam Street Sunday afternoon.
Mayor Erin Stewart said on her Twitter page that two people were killed in the fire.
Their identities have not yet been released, according to officials.
One firefighter was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
