Waterbury Police Make Arrest In Fatal Crash

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A Waterbury man wanted in connection with a fatal traffic crash in April that claimed the life of a Bethlehem woman turned himself in Wednesday, city police announced.

Jamall Smith, 26, is charged with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane in the crash on April 22 that claimed the life of 20-year-old Dominique Dalessio.


Police say Smith was driving a BMW on East Main Street that crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a Honda in which Dalessio was a passenger. She was hospitalized and died six days after the crash.
