WATERTOWN. Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Watertown Fire District says one of its ground water wells has been taken offline for disinfection after E. coli bacteria was found in untreated water from the well.The water system says the bacteria never made it into treated water and there was never a health concern to the public.
The well in question is expected to return to service September 20, according to a customer notification.
The water system has roughtly 2,300 connections.
