Woman Dies In New Britain Police Custody

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) -  New Britain police say a woman has died while in custody after experiencing an "unexpected medical event" early Saturday.Police say 45-year-old Tamara Mifflin was arrested for violating a protective order, after a verbal domestic dispute at a location in the city. Authorities say she was booked without incident, but was later pronounced dead after resuscitative efforts were unsuccessful.An autopsy has been ordered, said police.
