NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A Yale New Haven Health executive is now among those who've tested positive for COVID-19.
The health system said Saturday afternoon that several patients have tested positive across its network. Among them is chief nursing executive Beth Beckman. Officials say she's self-isolated at home and remains on the job remotely.
Yale New Haven Health says its chief clinical officer, Dr. Thomas Balcezak, has been exposed to COVID-19. While he has tested negative with no symptoms, he also remains self-quarantined at home, as a result of his wife testing positive.
The news came a day after Balcezak appeared at a press conference, detailing the hospital system's response to the virus.
