HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC) - While Democrats are in the majority of both houses of the General Assembly, Republicans are spelling out some priorities. 

A lot of the talk during the new legislative session will undoubtedly focus on tolls. Governor-elect Ned Lamont is calling for tractor trailers to be subject to tolling for now. If that's the case, then GOP leaders say the gasoline tax should be eliminated. 


On another front, House Minority Leader Themis Klarides says the state should phase out some of the lesser-traveled CT Fastrak bus routes and earmark that money toward road and bridge upgrades.

Republican State Representative Vincent Candelora predicts that finding common ground on issues, regardless of party affiliation, will be a part of the GOP's role this session.
