WEST HAVEN, CT (WTIC Radio)_ West Haven Police are investigating an early Sunday morning hit-and-run crash that resulted in a fatality.
Around 6:40 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the area of Derby Avenue near Forest Road.
Police believe that the suspected vehicle was headed east on Derby Avenue in the area of Forest Road when it hit an male pedestrian before driving away.
Emergency personnel transported the victim to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating and have not released the victim's name.
