Senator Dick Blumenthal wants all cars to come with a complex driver notification system, or idiot light, that will remind drivers not to leave young children in the back seat when they exit. This would impact 17 million cars a year with the hope of cutting down on the 38 children who die of heat exposure this way each year. Good policy?
