The First Annual World War II Weekend will transform the New England Air Museum into a living history experience, bringing together authentic WWII reenactors, restored military vehicles, armor, and historic aircraft. Visitors will step back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the Greatest Generation through immersive displays and interactive demonstrations.
This event is presented in partnership with the 169th Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division WWII Reenactment Group.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Living History Encampments - Dozens of historically accurate WWII camps representing Allied & Axis forces, complete with period equipment, uniforms, and daily life activities.
Authentic Military Vehicles & Armor - Jeeps, trucks, half-tracks, and other restored WWII vehicles on display
WWII Aircraft - Featured WWII aircraft from the museum's extensive collection
Weapons & Equipment Demonstrations - Scheduled presentations on WWII weaponry, tactics, & gear.
Educational Displays - Posters, maps, personal artifacts, and hands-on activities that tell the stories of the men and women who served.
Special Evening Event: Hangar Dance, Saturday August 29, 7PM - Grab your dancing shoes and boogie woogie on down to the museum for big band hits from the Al Fenton Big Band, swing dance refresher from Edanse Company & Ballroom, USO-style refreshments, period décor, and more!
