Its not the kind of thing you want to wake up to.
Residents in a Rocky Hill community are learning about an apparent bear attack which authorities say happened on Thursday afternoon around 4 O'clock. Police say a Black bear approached a person sleeping on the porch at a home on New Britain avenue, and received what appeared to be an abrasion or scratch to the knee. Investigators say the bear ran off.
Its a good thing too because authorities say it was most likely a large bear.
Officials with Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the scene. Police say the bear appeared to have DEEP ear tags.
