(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Later today, there will be a send-off ceremony for a unit of the Connecticut National Guard.
Adjutant General, Major General Francis Evon, will be joined by Governor Lamont and Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz for the gathering.
Six hundred members of the Guard's 1-102nd Infantry Regiment are preparing to ship out to Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedoom.
