After a summer when Eversource customers fought a rate hike and endured lengthy power outages resulting from Tropical Storm Isaias, the company is making changes at the top.
36 year Eversource employee and current Executive VP Joe Nolan will become President and CEO, effective next month. He'll replace Jim Judge, who will be Executive Chairman of the Board.
Nolan says he started his career in customer service, and he intends to keep the customer in mind. He plans to speak publicly when storm-related outages and other issues arise. Observers had criticized Judge for a more reserved approach.
